A monster truck showed up at Sweden Offroad Tour Sandlycke-Strängäs Mondaay July 18! A Chevrolet Silverado with portal axles (from Swedish military car) and huge monster tires.
The truck had no problem going back and forth through the horrible "stubb swamp" with a lot of grey mud since it is old sea bottom. The monster truck was called "The Swamp Troll".
We also hade our newest vehicle on the tour; a shiny Jeep Cherokee 2015 with low profile tires. Luckily the south part of Sandlycke is easy open fields with som hills and water ruts.
Our four German Jeeps are enjoying the Swedish terrain with a lot of rock crawling.
Almost 30 cars took part. OK for a Monday. Strängnäs comes a little bit in the shadow of near and popular SOT Gröndal-Strängnäs last Sunday.
Our partner smac.nu served fresh hamburgers and cold drinks. Our trusty participants Hans "Weltmeister Neumann did not have his Lada Niva fixed yet, so he showed up in his Citroen 2CV...
The weather is becoming more and more summerlike and will get better and better! Maybe soon the beach will be an option!
Tomorrow Tuesday July 19 we drive SOT Ekeby-Stockholm, 30 km south of Stockholm. A completely different coastal area with a huge gravel pit and a slick granit mountain. ATV and UTV not allowed.
Camping not possible at the area.
