SOT Olerum-Söderköping will be a two-day/Saturday-Sunday/weekend meeting instead: 15-16.7 The reason SOT Gröndal-Eskilstuna is cancelled is this: The County Administrative Board – länstyrelsen – has decided that the ancient antiquities – fornminnen – at Gröndal should be protected. Offroad within a radius of 100 metres of the antiquities is forbidden. And there are a lot of them at Gröndal, because the land around lake Mälaren is the original ancient Sweden. The terrain left over is too small for SOT and other 4×4-offroadings. Maybe in the future Gröndal will expand to the other side of the railroad which can make 4×4-offroading possible. Enduro-motorcycles can still drive their narrow trails which have been rerouted away from the antiquities. We are sorry for inconvenience.
